CASEWORKER JOB POSTING
Big Brothers Big Sister’s vision is that all young people realize their full potential by enabling life-changing mentoring relationships to ignite the power and potential of young people. We want to ignite the power and potential that already exists within every young person.
As a full time (37.5 hours per week) caseworker funded through an Ontario Trillium Grant, your caseload may include one to one and group community matches as well as site based mentoring programs.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to, effective volunteer recruitment, screening, selection, training, matching, supervision, monitoring and evaluation of matches between identified Littles and adult volunteer Bigs.
The key objective of the role is to ensure positive youth development aligning with current Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada National Service Delivery Standards and local agency policies.
The successful candidate will have at minimum a diploma in Social Service Work or Child and Youth Work as well as a successful NRPS criminal record and vulnerable sector query certificate.
This BBBS shared position between Niagara Falls and South Niagara agencies may cover a caseload within the following areas: Niagara Falls, Welland, Pelham, Port Colborne, Wainfleet, and Fort Erie.
